Dr. Kevin Cranmer M.D.

ODOS EMR was developed by Dr. Kevin Cranmer while an ophthalmology resident at Wills Eye Center in Philadelphia, and has been in daily practical use in central Connecticut for over 5 years.

Dr. Cranmer received his Bachelors degree in computer engineering from Dartmouth College  where he was a Presidential Scholar before enlisting as an officer in the US Army.  Upon completion of his service in the Army in Germany and Bosnia, Dr. Cranmer directed his attention towards medicine.

While at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Cranmer began to focus on ophthalmology and eye care. Working directly with Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary he helped develop a 3-dimensional video operating microscope and was offered a residency at Wills Eye Hospital.

During his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Institute Dr. Cranmer began the development of ODOS EMR as a tool to make the scheduling of surgeries faster. The new software allowed him to cut a 30 minute task down to 5 minutes and gave inspiration to an EMR that was designed specifically to the Ophthalmology industry.

Since that time ODOS EMR has been refined and redeveloped by Dr. Cranmer and software engineers to make it the most flexible, easy to use, intuitive and fastest ophthalmology-specific EMR in the industry!
